Description:  The Richmond R-XVI School District is seeking applications for a special education teacher at the elementary level for the 2024-2025 school year. Elementary and Cross Categorical certification is required. Experience teaching special education utilizing the co-teaching model is preferred. The candidate needs to possess knowledge, experience and expertise in teaching students with disabilities, as well as, demonstrate competency and compliance in the special education process. The Richmond R-XVI School District is an accredited 3A school district and has earned the Distinction in Performance recognition in recent years (2008, 2009, 2011 & 2012). The district uses the Professional Learning Communities model for professional development. Richmond is located approximately 45 miles northeast of Downtown Kansas City, MO with just under 6,000 residents and a PreK-12 population of approximately 1600.
