Job Title:  Instructional Technology Coach

Description:  The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Technology Coach for the 2022-23 school year to work with staff at both Aurora High School and  Aurora Junior High.  This position is primarily responsible for coaching teachers and other instructional staff on how to competently and consistently infuse technology into the curriculum and learning environment.  The Instructional Technology Coach will serve as part of the school’s leadership team providing “just in time”, job-embedded, and ongoing professional development for teachers, staff, and administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: collaborating regularly with staff for instructional planning, co-teaching, and modeling of effective technology integration strategies; collaborating with supervisors on curriculum development and technology integration; collaborating with district-level staff developers to plan and implement technology integration learning opportunities for staff; identifies technology integration competencies among instructional staff, in collaboration with school administrators, and delivers appropriate coaching, training, and resources to support the professional growth of individuals; and researches new technology integration techniques and resources for dissemination to instructional staff and proficiency in using Canvas. Qualifications and technical skills requirements include, but are not limited to: possesses a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate; has three or more years of teaching experience; demonstrates evidence of improving student achievement in the classroom; has experience in coaching/mentoring scenarios and exhibits excellent presentation skills.  The salary will be tied to the Aurora R-VIII Certified Salary Schedule.  Benefits include a Board-paid health insurance stipend and paid sick/personal leave.  A salary schedule and personnel guide can be found on the District’s website at www.aurorar8.org.  The application packet should include a completed online application through the district's website, at least three references, and a copy of the certification/transcripts.
