| Description: | Ozark Mountain Technical Center is accepting applications for a Health Sciences Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will require the candidate to obtain a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching certificate as well as a CNA Instructor certificate from the Department of Health and Senior Services. Qualifications include: registered nurse (RN) license in Missouri, 5000 hours of work experience in the nursing field in the past ten years, and one year experience in the provision of LTC Facility services within the last five years. Must be willing to complete the AHA BLS Instructor and Examiner course to receive certification. Duties will include but are not limited to: develop/implement lesson plans, schedule clinical rotations, demonstrate and assist students in the skills lab and during direct patient care at clinical facilities, and build strong relationships with postsecondary and industry partners. The candidate will be expected to be active in the HOSA organization including but not limited to fundraising, leadership events, competitions, and community service. Additional coursework will be required to obtain DESE teacher certification.
