| Description: | The Missouri Association of Rural Education has been retained by the La Plata R-II Board of Education to conduct a search for their next Superintendent of Schools. La Plata R-II School District is located in Macon County (La Plata) in Northeast Missouri. School District Information: • Elementary Schools - 1 (PK-06) o Certified Staff - 20 o Student Enrollment - 155 • High School - 1 (07-12) o Certified Staff - 19 o Student Enrollment - 152 • Annual Operating Budget – $ 4,216,171.00 • Total Tax Levy - $3.0897 • Assessed Valuation - $29,399,222.00 • Reserve Balances – 60.87% • Administrators – 3 • Support Staff – 17 • MSIP: Fully Accredited • District Operated Transportation • District Operated Food Service • Other Programs: o Parents as Teachers Program o BETA, STUCO, Yearbook, Leo's o A+ Program/Dual Enrollment o Online Courses Offered – Edgenuity o Early College Partnership with MACC o 4 Day School Week o Kirksville Technical Center Application Time Line: • Applications must be received by – Monday, June 5, 2023 • Screening to begin – Ongoing during the application period • Interviews Tentative Date – June 7-11, 2023 • Anticipated Hire Date – June 11, 2023 • Contract Begins – July 1, 2023 Salary/Benefits Information: • Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000. • Administrative experience required. • Central Office administrative experience preferred. • Board paid health insurance benefit. • Multi-year contract may be considered.
