| Description: | Licking R-VIII School District has an opening for an Elementary Alternative Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The job of Alternative Education Teacher provides specialized expertise to identify, analyze, understand and address behavior differences as they impact learning; instructing students in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. They also help students improve their critical-thinking, problem-solving and communication skills; consulting with assessment and other teaching staff concerning appropriate learning strategies and positive behavior interventions in the least restrictive environment; providing information to others; and implementing and maintaining services within established guidelines and standards.
