School District Information: Certified Staff – 13 Student Enrollment – 140 Total Staff – 27 Annual Operating Budget – $ 2,219,543.79 Total Tax Levy - $3.430 Total Assessed Valuation: $18,138,871 Reserve Balances – 108.91% Administrators – 3 MSIP: Fully Accredited District Operated Transportation District Operated Food Service Time Line: Applications will be accepted through January 12, 2024 Interviews will be scheduled between January 15-19, 2024 Hiring date is January 25, 2024 Screening is ongoing Contract Begins – July 1, 2024 Salary/Benefits Information: Salary- $60,000 Board paid health insurance benefits Initial multi-year contract will be considered Qualifications: Administrative experience preferred Three years of teaching experience Missouri Principal K-8 Certificate or eligibility thereof required. Job Description: Act as Transportation Director Develop plans for maintenance, improvement, or expansion of buildings and site facilities needed to provide an adequate educational program. Keep the community informed about school matters and serve as a representative of the school before the public. Make decisions in line with Board policies; appeals from such decisions may be heard and decided by the board. Administer and supervise instruction. He/she shall prepare rules and regulations as are necessary for the proper control of the school, consistent with the general practices of the Board of Education. Assign teachers to such duties as are necessary to maintain the proper control of students and to ensure proper use of building, grounds, equipment, and supplies. Evaluate the services of teachers under his/her direction and prepare recommendations to the Board of Education in regard to promotion, retention, or dismissal of employees. At least twice each year, file an evaluation report on each teacher. Visits should be long enough to understand what the teacher is working on with the class. Serve as ex-officio member of all committees and councils within the school. Lead in the development, revision, and evaluation of all curriculums. Assume responsibility for his/her own professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizations, through attendance at regional, state, and national meetings, and through enrollment in advanced courses as available. Provide leadership in curriculum improvement and in-service training of school personnel. Advise and assist teachers in difficult cases of discipline Orient newly assigned staff members and assist in their professional development, as appropriate. Provide adequate inventories of property under his/her jurisdiction for the security and accountability of said property. Approve the master teaching schedule and any special assignments. Supervise ball games Attend curriculum training as needed. Coordinate with Assistant Principal and provide assistance in conducting mentor/mentee program supervision, management, and evaluation. Coordinate with Assistant Principal in meeting with mentees to provide additional guidance as needed. Review data on an ongoing basis to prioritize changes in curriculum development as well as classroom instruction Meet with individual teachers to provide curriculum support as needed. Provide meaningful feedback and support to teachers regarding curriculum standards and learning materials. Facilitate, model, implement data-based assessment using student-growth data model to guide classroom instruction and curriculum planning and development. Schedule student-growth assessment data targeting priority standards throughout the year. Keep up with MSIP 6 information to stay updated with curriculum requirements. Keep track of standards covered by classroom teachers and meet with teachers to help with pacing guide. Serve as McKinney Vento liaison Head safety committee and facilitate safety drills throughout the school year Schedule and facilitate district assessment plan Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
