| Description: | The Van-Far R-I School District is currently accepting applications for a High School Agriculture Teacher/FFA Sponsor for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful Teacher candidate shall have completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and shall possess the necessary certification for the position as required by the Missouri State Board of Education. This is a 12-month contract. Van-Far R-I High School is part of the Van-Far R-I School District which is located in Vandalia, MO. Van-Far R-I School District is committed to positive climate, culture, and collaboration for staff and students as demonstrated in a commitment to PLC. Recent upgrades in technology will include Apple TV in each classroom, K-12 one-to-one ipads, faculty Macbooks and ipads. Vandalia is located off of I-61 and is approximately 70 minutes from St. Louis. Van-Far R-1 High School has approximately 300 students in grades 7-12. The district is on a 4 day school week (Tuesday-Friday) with professional development in-services for staff occurring on Mondays (approximately one a month). Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential.
