| Description: | Mexico Public Schools is now accepting applications for a JAG Specialist (Jobs for America's Graduates) teaching position for the 2021-2022 school year. QUALIFICATIONS: 1.) Bachelor’s degree in job related area 2.) Valid Missouri Teacher Certificate REPORTS TO: Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: New teachers 185 (includes 4 holidays) days with benefits provided according to Mexico Public Schools. New teachers are required to attend New Teacher Week in addition to the 185 days. Qualifications of the Teacher: The teacher will meet professional certification standards as set by state certification authorities. The person hired for this position will be required to attend summer training to be qualified. Cost of the training, meals, and lodging will be paid by the District. Job Summary: JAG Specialists provide individual and group instruction. JAG classes are scheduled during the day for school credit. JAG Specialists provide twelve months of follow-up services and support to graduates that have gone through their program. JAG Specialists provide advice and support as students make significant career and life decisions.
