Description:  SOUTHERN BOONE COUNTY R-I SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Manager Reports to: Superintendent of Schools and Head Athletic Director Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Masters in Athletic Administration Administration Certification by the State of Missouri Willing to be a member of the School Plant Managers Association Willing to earn MSPMA Core Certification Leadership Experience Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 Contract Days Worked: 12 months Hours in Duty Day: 8 (Note: Actual work days may vary according to district needs and administrative assignments, including occasional weekend work.) General Duties: We are currently searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Manager. The main responsibilities of the athletic director include organizing sports events, hiring and mentoring coaches, overseeing sports facilities, and managing the sports department. On the other hand, the facilities manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of building functions and ensuring that the facilities are safe and fully functional. To succeed as an Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Manager, one must be passionate about sports and have a solid understanding of facilities management procedures. A high-caliber Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Manager should be enthusiastic, meticulous, and adept at multitasking and organizing. They should also be self-motivated, with outstanding leadership and communication skills. In addition, an Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Manager must focus on developing and nurturing their team. The perfect candidate will collaborate with others to fill and maintain departmental staffing and lead by example by working alongside team members. Essential Job Duties: Scheduling of all Middle School sports and activities and event contracts. Scheduling Middle School sport pictures dates and times, sports officials, gate workers, and event workers Verifying Transportation for Middle School Sports and Activities Supervision Middle School and High School Sports Help set up for High School and Middle School events. Coordinate and Schedule other supervisors for Middle School events. Middle School physicals and annual requirements, eligibility rosters, transfer forms, and grade checks. Maintain the MS Athletic Budget and Facilities/Maintenance Budget and approve PO’s Assist with Scoreboard Sponsorships Analyze student participation in MSHSAA and Non-MSHSAA activities for all grade level annual reports to the BOE. Collaborate with others to fill and maintain departmental staffing. Organize and schedule staff to successfully meet the cleaning needs of all buildings daily. Lead and collaborate with team members on maintenance, grounds, and landscaping projects. Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members Run routine maintenance inspections Monitor interior and exterior areas of the buildings for cleanliness and proper upkeep. Manage work orders and assist with facility requests Evaluate Middle School Head Coaches, Custodians, and Maintenance Team Supervision of daytime and evening staff Schedule custodians for events Develop, prioritize and implement various projects for the district Other duties as requested by the supervisor . Working Conditions: The work requires in-district travel between schools and occasional out-of-district travel. It also requires direct contact with staff, students, and community members. The nature of the position requires hours beyond the regular school day. The person filling this position will prioritize completing the necessary tasks and set hours accordingly.
