| Description: | This class prepares students for a career in the healthcare field. It is a 2 year program with the 2nd year focusing on CNA, Vet Tech, and Pharmacy Tech certifications for our students. Much of the 2nd semester, the students will be in clinical rotations in area facilities. Part of the responsibilities include planning the clinical schedule, visiting students while they are at the clinical sites, and teaching the different sections at the school. Candidates must have a valid, non-revoked nursing license, and be able to qualify for a DESE teaching certification. Preference will be given to candidates with CNA instructor certification or experience in long-term care facilities. Current teaching certification is NOT required for the position. The selected candidate will earn that certification through coursework while employed as an instructor. Qualifications: Employment experience (3 years - minimum of 6000 hours) in the health care industry. Non-revoked nursing license. Teaching and/or supervisory skills. Possess or meet requirements for a Missouri Teaching Certificate. | |
