| Description: | TITLE: Certified Teacher Elementary (Grades 3 – 5 ) REPORTS TO: Building Principal Employment Status: Full Time, Exempt, Certified Teacher Salary Schedule Summary: To help students learn subject matter and skills through an appropriate instructional program that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Teaches District approved curriculum. 2. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. 3. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students and encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. 4. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals establishing clear objectives for all activities, assignments, and assessment. 5. Provide a variety of learning materials, resources and activities, assign and grade classwork, homework, tests and assessment, provide appropriate feedback, and communicate regularly with students, colleagues and parents as appropriate. 6. Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings as required. 7. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. 8. Implement and complete other duties as assigned Certification: Must hold, be eligible for and maintain a valid Missouri teaching certificate in either Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, operate a computer hand-held device, office equipment, and must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. | |
