| Description: | Fr. Tolton Catholic High School in Columbia, Missouri would like to add interested and qualified persons to our substitute teacher call list. Responsibilities: -Be responsible for and supervise students in assigned class -Communicate the lesson plan left by the teacher to student -Manage classroom and keep students on task -Utilizes technology to access lesson plans and take attendance -Demonstrates support for the mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School by attitude, words, actions, and integrity ● Assists in maintaining discipline by enforcing the expectations in the Student Handbook Qualification: -Minimum of a bachelor’s degree -State teaching licensure/certificate is preferred but not a hiring prerequisite -Understands the high school education culture and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, and parents -Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations -Preferred: Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, docs, sheets, etc), Google Classroom, and RenWeb/FACTS is preferred Physical Demands and other requirements: -Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading -Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity -Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and actions A successful candidate is a practicing Catholic in good standing who can minister to students regardless of subject area or a teacher who, consistent with the Mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School, promotes and teaches the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal.
