A Substitute Teacher creates and maintains an encouraging learning environment when the regular Teacher is absent. The Substitute will need to effectively manage and instruct the class. Qualifications: Interested candidates need to take the DESE 20 hour course or have 60 college credits to get the required Valid Substitute Teaching Certificate with the Department of Education. A background check using fingerprints is required. Past teaching, substitute teaching or any related job experience is beneficial.
