| Description: | Marshall High School is looking for an experienced physics/chemistry/Earth-science teacher who can teach our Introduction to Physics and Chemistry course and our non-weighted elective Environmental Science course. The preferred candidate would use a student-centered, inquiry-based methodology. Training in Modeling Instruction is preferred. The successful candidate will maintain high expectations for student performance, provide engaging instruction and activities, and use strategies that encourage positive behavior in the classroom. Candidates must also be team-oriented and willing to collaborate with department members on developing and using curriculum and teaching methods. Candidates must be willing to discuss their achievements and challenges openly with other department members in an effort to improve instruction. Experience in data collection, analysis, and Google Suite is necessary for our data-driven department. Extra-duty opportunities such as Science Club/Science Olympiad are available to those who are interested.
