| Description: | The district is still actively seeking a qualified High School Mathematics Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The Lewis County C-1 School District is seeking highly motivated candidates with proper Missouri certification for a high school mathematics teacher for the 2020-21 school year. More commonly known as Highland High School and home of the Cougars, the rural district and is located in the northeast corner of Missouri. The High School building is on highway 6 in Lewis County and is centrally located to larger cities (approximately 20-25 miles from Hannibal, Canton, and Quincy (IL) and is about 50 miles east of Kirksville). Lewis County C-1 has a rich tradition of excellence in education, athletics, and the arts. We are a PLC practicing school district and fully expect our administration, faculty, and staff to work collaboratively, utilize data-driven decision making, and practice proven strategies to focus on what is in the best interest of our students above everything else. Enrollment in grades 7-12 is approximately 410 students. | |
