Description:  Our Lady of the Snows Catholic School is a private Catholic school, dedicated to providing quality Catholic education to all students, and is seeking an experienced educator to provide instruction to students. The teacher will be able to teach all subjects to the assigned grade level. Job Summary: The teacher will be able to develop, in each student, skills appropriate to the level being taught, and participate with enthusiasm and enjoyment; and also to supervise and assist students in assigned work, studies, recess, and other assigned duties. Job Description: Religious Atmosphere- -Provide a good Christian model and example in one's attitudes and actions. -Encourage spiritual growth in students by developing inner discipline, character, morals, and values. -Provide leadership in living and celebrating life and liturgies. Teaching Responsibilities- -Prepare daily lesson plans in all required subjects. -Prepare instructional activities allowing for individual differences among the students assigned. -Use small group and individualized instruction as a mode of instruction. -Provide opportunities for the enhancement of the students' self-concepts. -Assist individuals to resolve learning difficulties. -Develop evaluation techniques that are appropriate for the class and individual objectives. -Prepare adequately for parent conferences. -Keep a reliable set of records in order for review by an administrator, department chair, and parents. -Call for case conferences with resource personnel whenever consultation with the principal determines the need. -Encourage integrated instruction whenever possible. -Plan experiences that include various disciplines. -Incorporate the humanities and fine arts. -Provide opportunities for critical thinking, problem-solving, and the development of study skills. -Provide a secure, comfortable learning environment. -Maintain a neat classroom. -Encourage a love of learning. -Prepare an attractive atmosphere of learning. -Take responsibility for the care of instructional materials and equipment. Supervising Responsibilities- -Responsible to supervise students in accordance with the building regulations established. -Provide supervision in the areas to which his/her students are assigned. -Encourage students to conduct themselves in the manner and mode of conduct which has been defined as acceptable by the administrator and staff. -Accept and perform supervisory duties as assigned. -Supervise and discipline regardless of grade level or subject. -Share responsibility for the safety and health of each child. Professional- -Responsible to carry his/her share of professional duties as assigned by the administrator. -Attend all faculty and other required meetings according to the areas of responsibility. -Actively participates in school committee assignments. -Earn and maintain Religious Certification. -Responsible for continued personal, professional growth. -Complete necessary credits to keep teaching license updated. -Read professional magazines to stay updated in the field of education. -Attend workshops and seminars in related fields for personal and professional development. -Support policies and regulations of the school and those applicable to the Diocese of Jefferson City. Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill for Teacher Position- -Bachelor's degree with successful completion of appropriate state certification exam -Virtus Trained (or willing to obtain before employment) -Google Educational Suite experience (preferred) -Chromebook implementation experience (preferred)
