Description: | Executive Director – Human Resources 2019-2020 School Year The Mehlville School District is seeking currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director of Human Resources. The Executive Director of Human Resources designs and delivers initiatives aligned to the District’s strategic plan in the areas of: talent recruitment and selection, workforce planning, development and succession planning, workforce engagement and satisfaction, labor relations, and total rewards (benefits and compensation). Duties and Responsibilities • Performs highly accountable complex, managerial and strategic work with responsibility for all Human Resources Operations functions to include employment, performance management & organizational development, benefits administration, compensation & classification, employee relations/investigations, labor relations, compliance training, and HRIS employee and applicant maintenance. • Serves as the chief negotiator for the District in the collective bargaining process and manages interpretation and maintenance of all labor agreements. • Serves as the District’s compliance officer for the purpose of resolving complaints and mitigating issues with regard to Title IX/Sexual Harassment/Non-discrimination. • Provides counsel to members of the District’s leadership team regarding issues within the Division’s are of responsibility to further the District’s desire to be an employer of choice. • Administers a wide variety of personnel policies, contracts and employment agreements to support the district strategic plans. • Directs the Human Resources department operations; the delivery of services and the implementation of new programs and/or processes to provide services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements. • Facilitates the design, implementation, and delivery of the District’s talent management strategy and the attainment of related goals in order to further the District’s strategic plan and ensure the recruitment and retention of the highest available levels of talent. Qualifications/Compensation Earned Degree in educational leadership/administration, human resources, public administration or related field. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification, preferred. Human Resources management experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including a minimum of 2 years experience at the executive level, desired. Experience with collective bargaining and interpretation of agreements, desired. Experience in managing direct reports, required.
