Description:  Learning Momentum is looking for a full time SPED certified teacher to oversee operation and management of a Treatment Centers/Intensive Behavior Classroom for children with autism and emotional disorders in Camdenton, Missouri. Each Treatment Center/Intensive Behavior Classroom resides in a school district and Learning Momentum contracts with the district and surrounding district for placement to implement the IEP and provide intensive behavior intervention. Students attend due to significant behavior. The program uses the curriculum, Rage to Reason that combines Functional Communication Training with Extinction in order to decrease behaviors that have been negatively reinforced. Schedules of reinforcement are used to increase compliance and following directions to academic demands and transitions so that the student can return to their district as quickly as possible. In addition, the program teaches coping skills and social skills for children who do not regulate emotions well and have poor executive function skills. The candidate will oversee all operations , staff supervision, assist with the BCBA to do Functional Behavior Assessments, write Behavior Implementation Plans, and train staff and school district personnel. Candidate MUST have experience and a DESIRE to work with children with emotional disorders and emerging mental illness as well as Autism who have significant behavior . Some travel is also required. The maximum caseload is 12 students. Candidate must be SPED certified as well as at least 2 years of experience working with children with emotional disorders and/or autism in a school setting . Candidate must have excellent leadership skills and experience in the supervision of programs and management of staff. Schedule includes a 5-day week school schedule and significant time off in July and August. Candidate must also demonstrate a desire to work with kids with explosive behavior.
