| Description: | Special Education Teacher with Cross Cat Certification and either working towards certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or already certified (K-12) wanted to take position of Executive Program Director/Certified Teacher. The position is with Learning Momentum, approved through DESE to serve children with Emotional Disorders and Autism who have challenging and sometimes explosive behavior. Learning Momentum provides behavior teams in school districts throughout Missouri for these children using the curriculum, Rage to Reason written by Amy Buie. The Behavior Team will be located in a district but will not be part of the district. The Executive Program Director/Certified teacher will open and run a classroom that will be limited to no more than 6-8 children. Each classroom will also have a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to complete FBA’s, train, and write the behavior plans. The classroom will also have one on one Behavior Intervention Coaches (60 hour trained para) for each student. Districts contract with Learning Momentum to provide programming and the district is required to send the work for the student to keep them up to date with their class. Most students will eventually transition back to their classroom in the public school. This position will include teaching the lesson plans provided, all jobs related to the special education process and supervision of staff. Learning Momentum will also pay for classes and provide supervision to obtain certification in Applied Behavior Analysis for a SELECT number of candidates. The position is currently open for St. Louis at KIPP Charter Schools. Some travel may be required. | |
