| Description: | LITERACY COACH (Mesnier Primary School) This is a 9 1/2 month teacher level position on the teacher salary schedule. QUALIFICATIONS- Requires Reading Specialist certification (K-12); elementary teaching certification is preferred. Strongly prefer Literacy Coaching experience and at least 2 years experience in teaching reading. Experience as an elementary classroom teacher is desirable. Exprerience as a presenter for teacher professional development-particularly with specific experience with implementing the LIteracy Coaching model is strongly preferred. Must be able to analyze student work and asessment data to identify patterns, areas of concern and opportunities to improve performance. Ability to enter and manage student data and produce charts and reports. Knoweldge of computer and peripherals, data entry experience and data entry skills utilizing MIcrosoft Office (Excel and Word) and related software; prefer experience with student data managment systems (AIMSWeb or similar). Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Position is effective for the 2009-2010 school year.
