| Description: | The purpose of this position is to plan and implement learning opportunities that further the children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical growth and development. Job Responsibilities *Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities on a daily basis *Conduct daily health checks and ensure environment is clean, safe and free of hazards *Develop experience implement individualized activities based on the developmental level of each child *Create learning environments in the classroom and outside for young children which promote experimentation and exploration *Facilitate and assist children in developing positive relationships that support a caring community within the classroom *Communicate effectively with parents in promoting parental involvement in their child's early learning experience *Conduct screenings and on-going assessments of each child's growth and development; use information to refer children with potential delays *Maintain and update records on all children enrolled in the classroom Job Requirements *Knowledge and understanding of Early Childhood development and education *Knowledge of Early Childhood classroom management and organizational skills *Knowledge of emergency procedures for young children *Ability to develop and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children *Ability to communicate effectively with parents and including them in their child's learning process *Ability to lift 40lbs *2 years’ experience as a teacher at preschool level. *Pass a criminal and child abuse and neglect background check *Ability to provide a recent physical, TB test and Hepatitis A series Education Requirements *Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field and 10 classes in Early Childhood Education | |
