Chilhowee R-IV is a K-12 school that participates in the $38K teacher minimum pay program. The district offers steps in addition to the $38,000 minimum. Currently, the 2nd grade class for next school year is projected to have less than 10 students. The student to teacher ratio is 11/1. Chilhowee School operates 1:1 technology and promotes a culture of family, team, and unity. Chilhowee is located in South Central Johnson County on highway 2 approximately 15 miles from Warrensburg, Clinton, Holden, and Knob Noster, and 40 minutes from Lee’s Summit.
