| Description: | Clever RV is seeking a skilled and compassionate person to assist students at the High School level. The Special Education Aide or Paraprofessional serves as support staff to implement special education or related services for a class and/or to provide direct assistance to students with disabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Work under the direct supervision of a Special Education teacher when providing instructional services. 2. Assist students to complete instructional activities. 3. Assist in managing the behavior of students. 4. Assist in the supervision of students to meet individual needs and implement IEP goals and/or objectives. 5. Provide physical assistance based on student need such as: lifting, transferring, moving from class to class, feeding, toileting, physical intervention. 6. Participate in training activities as required by the District. 7. Perform other duties as directed by the principal or supervising teacher, which are related to facilitating success (i.e., instructional, social, behavioral) for students with disabilities. 8. Supervise students during non-instructional times in the day, such as during the lunch period, when students are entering or leaving buses, while otherwise on school premises, and including duty before/during/after school. 9. Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law. 10. Other duties as assigned. | |
