| Description: | The Interventionist’s primary purpose is to improve academic achievement and behavior of all students. The Interventionist provides leadership to classroom teachers in implementing intervention initiatives. This roll will also plan, implement and assess intervention services to ensure fidelity. The Interventionist: • Provides systematic interventions to students to improve academics and behaviors is small groups or individually using a pull-out and/or push-in model * • Provides credit recovery opportunities for high school students both online and through direct instruction * • Enrolls and maintains credit recovery platforms for both students and staff * • Collects data, creates action plans, and supporst the Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) models * • Provides Professional development to teachers and staff about state graduation requirements, credits, and 4-year plans for both eighth graders and high school students * • Collaborates with local school districts about credit recovery offerings, current research, and evidence-based practices * • Mentors new teachers over topics including, but not limited to: Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Re-Evaluations of Existing Data (REDs), Report Cards and Progress Reports * • Provides coaching/modeling to teachers and staff about interventions, best practices, curriculum materials and resources * Required Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related Filed • Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a special education teacher • Missouri Special Education Certification Preferred Education and Experience • Experience working with children and families in a trauma informed environment Great Circle is an equal opportunity employer. | |
