| Description: | PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES Student individualized assessment and interpretation; develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP); student instruction for students ages 3-5; attend/participate in appropriate and relevant meetings and staffings; initiate and complete required paperwork within established timelines; collaborate with appropriate staff/individuals regarding student programs and services; supervise paraprofessional(s) in classroom. IEP development and implementation; individualized and small group instruction for students ages 3-5; provide instruction in an integrated ECSE classroom; assessment of PreK skills quarterly and completion of grade cards; facilitate leadership and appropriate modeling skills for students serving as role models; attend/participate in parent meetings; have knowledge of and support the building level and District policies. EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Certification in Early Childhood Special Education. Must have good computer skills; be able to collaborate well with others; have knowledge of appropriate curriculum; training or knowledge regarding autism and behavior management required; familiarity with early childhood standardized assessments; must have regular attendance; must have positive interpersonal relationships with staff and parents. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. | |
