| Description: | The Aurora R-VIII School District is seeking applicants for a Reading Interventionist position for the 2024-2025 school year at Pate Early Childhood Center (serving grades K-2). Aurora operates on a 4- day schedule (M-TH). Applicants must possess current certification to be an elementary teacher, possess a Master's Degree in Reading, and a Special Reading Certificate is a plus. This position will provide intensive reading instruction to struggling readers. The successful candidate must demonstrate a student-centered philosophy on education, be organized, enjoy working with data and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement in the area of reading. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position. Benefits include a Board-paid health insurance stipend and paid sick/personal leave days. Salary dependent upon years of experience and level of education - salary schedule, personnel guide, and school calendar can be found on the District's website - www.aurorar8.org.
