| Description: | The Newburg R-II School District is seeking a dynamic High School Principal for grades 7-12. We are a 4 day school week with approximately 370 students in prek-12th grade. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Completed a Masters Degree in Administration 2. Certification for the position as required by the Missouri State Board of Education. 3. At least five (5) years of teaching experience. REPORTS TO: Superintendent JOB GOAL: To lead and manage an instructional climate that maximizes student learning and promotes a positive environment for the students and staff. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides effective leadership through a needs assessment, goal identification, and implementation strategies. 2. Establishes an instructional environment of best practices through research and implementation. 3. Promotes on-going professional development of staff. 4. Provides leadership for curriculum development and data analysis. 5. Provides for effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the school. 6. Promotes and maintains a positive school climate. 7. Establishes and maintains effective discipline within the school. 8. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with staff, students, parents, and community. 9. Supervises extra-curricular activities. 10. Implements the policies and procedures of the district. 11. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month position EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel. The most significant duties have been included in this description. This does not preclude the assignment of additional or supplemental duties. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment as needed to reflect such duties.
