This position is for a special education teacher in a self-contained, life skills classroom, 6th through 8th grades. Job Requirements: Valid Missouri teaching certificate in area applied for. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward generating successful teamwork and a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of settings. To create an academic program, directed by curriculum guides, which fosters learning in all subject areas taught; to create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge, which contribute to the foundation of lifelong learning; to establish good relationships with parents, staff, and other community members. Salary - Step 1 - $38,000 with board paid benefits. Actual contract amount will commensurate with qualifications and experience. School year as established by the Board and Administrators. District reserves the right to close any job posting when a suitable applicant has been found. | |
