| Description: | The Mountain Grove R-III School District has an opening for a Focus Room Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The Focus Room Teacher is responsible for providing support to the instructional program and being part of a multi-tiered system of support for effecting behavioral changes in the building. The position is responsible for working individually or in small groups to manage daily behaviors, analyze data, provide intervention assistance, and implement discipline. The teacher works with students, staff, and parents in the development and implementation of behavior management plans. The focus room additionally works as an in-school suspension room to allow students to remain in school within a separate learning environment. The teacher will act as a facilitator between parents and staff to help ensure success for students at school. Behavior intervention strategies and/or experience is preferred. This teaching position will work directly and collaboratively with the building Assistant Principal and Tiered behavior teams. A valid teaching certificate is required or ability to obtain one.
