| Description: | The Cape Girardeau Public School District is seeking a part-time Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) instructor for the Adult Education in Cape Girardeau Adult Learning Center for the 2024-25 academic year. Terms of Employment: 7-14 hours per week, 10 months per year. This position is dependent upon available grant funding. The Adult Education & Literacy Instructor is responsible for facilitating meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher AEL certification or ability to complete certification within three (3) months of hire Experience working with diverse population with varying beliefs Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to manage a multi-level adult classroom Effective oral and written communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Drive.
