| Description: | The La Plata R-II school district is accepting applications for a 7-12 FACS teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers will plan, instruct, and assess the district curriculum and will be accountable for organization and maintaining classroom management to ensure maximum student engagement and learning. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to build positive relationships with all stakeholders. The candidate will be a team player with a strong understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards along with knowledge and use of research-based instructional strategies. The candidate will participate in District and Building Professional Development opportunities, participate in grade level and building meetings, work successfully as part of a team in a highly collaborative manner, have strong classroom management skills and interpersonal relations, and understand and implement Missouri Learning Standards into the curriculum. Willingness to sponsor FCCLA club for the district. EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Current Missouri Certification in FACS Education. Experience teaching in the junior high/high school setting. La Plata R-II operates on a 4-day school week and offers a suite of benefits, including full health insurance, life insurance, and PTO. | |
