Description:  Wellington-Napoleon R-IX School District is seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated High School Social Studies teacher for the 24-25 school year. Classes to be taught include Government, World History, and American History.   Wellington-Napoleon implements a 4 day school week schedule.  Teachers are off on Mondays with the exception of one PD day a month.  Our base salary is $38,000 along with district paid health insurance and vision insurance.  We are a part of a very supportive community that is approximately 35 miles east Kansas City, and approximately 10 miles north of I-70.   Possible coaching openings included with this position are:  head varsity baseball, middle school girl's basketball, and assistant football. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Plans for and guides the learning process to help students achieve educational objectives  Selects and utilizes effective and appropriate instructional strategies  Establishes a cooperative relationship with all students  Works collaboratively with the content partners to achieve the overall purposes of the academic program  Works collaboratively with school personnel to achieve the goals outlined in the building improvement plan  Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations and student achievement, developing methods for improvement, and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home  Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, and administration  Administers subject specific assessments and district and/or state tests for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning  Analyzes assessment data for the purposes of providing intervention and enrichment opportunities ?  Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and productive learning environment ?  Engages in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job-related knowledge and skill development  Maintains regular and dependable attendance  Well-versed in technology integration including G Suite for Education  To apply please follow the following link.  Apply at www.wntigers.net If you have questions concerning the position please reach out to Justin L.
