| Description: | Rolla Public Schools seeks a passionate and dedicated Secondary Guidance Counselor to join our team. QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate Missouri teaching certificate. REPORTS TO: Building principal to whom assigned. JOB GOALS: Provide all counseling services to students in their assigned building. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 205 days EVALUATION: The building principal will annually evaluate performance prior to April 1. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Enroll students. -Gather and maintain student records. -Provide consultation to teachers and administrators regarding student and educational issues. -Provide consultation service to parents of students. -Provide individual and group counseling for the students in their building. -Assimilate the grades and grade cards for students. -Assist and participate in the evaluation and IEP development of special needs students. -Implement components of the model guidance program. -Consult and work with various community agencies that impact and are involved with our students. -Implement group testing. -Interpret tests. -Carry out other programs/tasks as assigned by administration.
