| Description: | Position Title: Middle School & High School Band Director Location: Adrian R-III School District Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: August 2026 ________________________________________ Position Overview: Adrian R-III School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band Director to lead both middle school and high school instrumental music programs. The ideal candidate will inspire students, build a strong music culture, and develop ensembles that perform at a high level while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Direct and manage middle school and high school band programs Plan and conduct rehearsals, performances, and concerts Develop curriculum aligned with state and district standards Organize and oversee marching band, concert band, and other ensembles as applicable Collaborate with other fine arts staff and school faculty Maintain inventory, equipment, and music library Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration Encourage student participation and growth in music programs ________________________________________ Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Music Education or related field (Masters preferred) Valid teaching certification/licensure (or ability to obtain) Experience teaching instrumental music at the middle and/or high school level preferred Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills ________________________________________ Salary & Benefits: Starting salary: $42,500 annually Comprehensive benefits package including: o Health insurance o Dental insurance o Vision insurance o Life insurance Free lunches provided How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and references to Matt Davis at matt.davis@adrian.k12.mo.us | |
