| Description: | School Year: 2026–2027 Butler High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys Track & Field Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes in a competitive and positive environment. The ideal candidate will emphasize athletic development, character, teamwork, and academic success. Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and lead daily practices for boys' track & field Coach and develop athletes in track & field events (sprints, distance, jumps, throws, relays, etc.) Supervise and manage athletes during meets, practices, and team travel Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and a positive team culture Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, staff, and administration Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic association rules Support student-athletes in their academic and personal growth Qualifications: Previous coaching or track & field experience preferred Knowledge of track & field events and training methods Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with high school and/or middle school student-athletes CPR/AED and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Completion of all required background checks and coaching certifications Compensation: Coaching stipend based on experience and district guidelines | |
