| Description: | The Fordland R-3 School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of K-5 Counselor for the 2022-23 school year. Fordland Elementary is comprised of 300 K-5 students and is located 20 minutes east of Springfield, Missouri. The Counselor's primary function is to provide a comprehensive guidance program for students in grades K-5. The counselor provides activities to meet the needs of their students, consults with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students, and provides support to other elementary school educational programs. Services include school counseling core curriculum (in both individual & group settings), individual student planning, and responsive services. This will be a 195-day contract for the K-5 Counselor position. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
