| Description: | The Diamond R-IV School District is seeking applicants for a K-5 school Guidance Counselor for the 2021-2022 school year. Qualified candidates must possess a State of Missouri Teacher’s Certificate in Guidance. This position has the following responsibilities: 1. Assist students in evaluating the aptitudes and abilities through the interpretation of individual standardized test scores and other pertinent data. 2. Work to discover and develop special abilities of the students. 3. Work to resolve students’ educational handicaps. 4. Remain readily available to students so as to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and maturity. 5. Work with students on an individual basis in the solution of personal problems. 6. Maintain student records and protect their confidentiality. 7. Confer with parents whenever necessary. | |
