| Description: | Familiarization and competence in the Model Missouri Guidance Program’s components. Provision of student consultative and direct services, as appropriate/needed. Maintenance of student records and student class assignments/schedules. Consult with students, parents, and staff regarding the developmental needs of students. Contribute, as a team member, in the curriculum offerings, student needs, student assessment activities (individual and group), and school climate in assigned building(s). Provide resources, as appropriate, to individuals who need or seek information regarding internal or external guidance. Provide guidance and counseling services to students in assigned buildings(s). Team participation in the District counseling program and activities. Administer and be able to interpret individual and group assessments. Assist building level staff in relation to student needs. Provide consultation and coordination with in-District and community agencies as deemed appropriate and needed. EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master’s degree and appropriate Missouri grade level guidance/counseling certification. Three (3) years’ teaching experience preferred in appropriate grade level(s). Knowledge of WISC-IV preferred. Possess good people skills and ability to work with diverse populations. Possess collaboration skills that support the objectives of a team’s efforts. Knowledge of special population eligibility criteria and support the team’s efforts when eligibility determinations are completed. Organization and time management skills that enhance the guidance/counseling program in the assigned building(s). Ability to work with others as a team member or leader. | |
