| Description: | Position Summary: Dora School District is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and student-centered K–12 Art Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will provide engaging and developmentally appropriate art instruction to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This position fosters creativity, artistic expression, and appreciation of the visual arts while supporting students’ academic and personal growth in a positive and inclusive learning environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art instruction aligned with Missouri Learning Standards. Develop lessons that incorporate a variety of artistic media, techniques, and art history. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic exploration across grade levels. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Display student artwork and promote participation in school and community art events. Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Maintain inventory and proper care of art supplies and equipment. Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and instructional documentation. Qualifications: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate with appropriate Art endorsement (K–12). Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field. Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to fostering creativity and student engagement across all grade levels. Experience teaching art at multiple grade levels.
