| Description: | Dora School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will provide engaging and effective instruction in social studies content areas such as history, geography, economics, government, and civics to high school students in grades 9–12. This role fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can develop critical thinking, inquiry skills, and academic success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with district and state curriculum standards. Create and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students. Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents. Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues about student progress and concerns. Participate in school activities, faculty meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences as needed. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and instructional documentation. Qualifications: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Social Studies (Grades 9–12). Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or related field. Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
