| Description: | The Cabool R-IV School District is seeking highly qualified candidates with appropriate certification for the position of Director of Special Services for the 2026-2027 school year. The Special Education Director provides leadership and oversight for all district special education programs and services. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, supports administrators and staff in delivering high-quality services, and advocates for the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities. The director collaborates closely with families, staff, and outside agencies to ensure effective program implementation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: -Provide leadership and supervision of special education services and staff -Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations -Oversee IEP development, implementation, and monitoring -Serve as a resource to administrators, teachers, families, and community agencies -Manage program budgets, staffing, and reporting requirements -Assist with discipline and maintain communication among stakeholders -Assist with administrative supervision duties Qualifications: -Master’s Degree or Specialist Degree in Special Educational Administration -Appropriate Missouri Administrative Certificate -Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education procedures -Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills -Experience in special education teaching and/or administration preferred (Full job descriptions can be found on the school website) Cabool follows a 4 day a week schedule with Mondays off. | |
