| Description: | The Cabool R-IV School District is seeking highly qualified candidates with appropriate certification for the position of Head Boys Track Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Cabool High School is a member of the competitive SCA conference. The High School Boys Track Coach is responsible for leading and developing the boys track program, promoting athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success. The coach will plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the program in alignment with district policies and state athletic association regulations. Key Responsibilities: -Plan and conduct daily practices, conditioning sessions, and competitions -Develop athletes’ skills in track and field events, emphasizing safety and proper technique -Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and related activities -Promote positive character development, discipline, and sportsmanship -Support and monitor student-athlete academic eligibility -Collaborate with assistant coaches and athletic staff -Ensure compliance with district policies and state athletic association rules -Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities in coordination with the Athletic Director Qualifications: -Previous track and field coaching experience preferred -Knowledge of track and field rules, techniques, and training methods -Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills -Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes -CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Other coaching, teaching, and administrative positions currently available: Head Football, Head Girls Basketball, In-School Suspension, Athletic Director Cabool follows a 4 day a week schedule with Mondays off. | |
