Description:  The Missouri Association of Rural Education has been retained by the Prairie Home R-V Board of Education to conduct a search for their next Superintendent of Schools. Prairie Home R-V School District is located in Cooper County (Prairie Home) in West Central Missouri. School District Information: • Elementary Schools - 1 (K-05) o Certified Staff - 8 o Student Enrollment - 64 • High School - 1 (06-12) o Certified Staff - 10 o Student Enrollment - 91 • Annual Operating Budget – $ 2,456,369.00 • Total Tax Levy - $4.8421 • Assessed Valuation - $21,524,858.00 • Reserve Balances – 57.85% • Administrators – 2 • Support Staff – 14 • MSIP: Fully Accredited • District Operated Transportation • District Operated Food Service • Other Programs: o Parents as Teachers Program o Tuition Funded Pre-K Program o BETA, STUCO, Yearbook, Leo's o Gifted and Enrichment Programs o A+ Program o Dual Enrollment/Flex Program o Boonslick Technical Education Center (BTEC) Application Time Line: • Applications must be received by – Tuesday, January 6, 2026 • Screening to begin – Ongoing during the application period • Interviews Tentative Date – Week of January 12-16, 2026 • Anticipated Hire Date – No later than Wednesday, January 21, 2026 • Contract Begins – July 1, 2026 Salary/Benefits Information: • Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000. • Administrative experience required. • Central Office administrative experience preferred. • Board paid health insurance benefits. • Initial two-year contract may be considered.
