Description:  The Mirabile C-1 School District is looking for a part-time (.20 or .25 FTE) dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2022-23 academic year. The Mirabile C-1 School District is a K-8 elementary school in North Central Missouri serving approximately 40 students. Qualified applicants must have appropriate certification and a thorough understanding of the special education process. Teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning. Qualified Applicants will: demonstrate appropriate preparation for instruction, choose and implement appropriate methodology and varied instructional strategies that address the diversity of the learners, provide continuous feedback to students and families, communicate appropriately with students, parents, community and staff, use various ongoing assessments to monitor the effectiveness of instruction, and align the assessments with the goals, objectives and instructional strategies of the district curriculum guides and/or IEPs. In addition, qualified applicants will use assessment techniques that are appropriate to the varied characteristics and developmental needs of students, engage in professional development activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the building, district and state, participate in building, grade level and subject area committees, and participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested. Qualified applicants will create a positive learning environment, effectively manage student behaviors, assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment within the school setting, maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades and discipline, complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner, adhere to all the policies, procedures and regulations of the building and district, and report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy.
