Description:  Ridgeway R-V School District is strategically focused on hiring a highly qualified—or actively becoming eligible—Mission aligned K-12 Special Education Teacher & Process Coordinator. You will Champion Student Success & consistently advocate, empower, & promote optimal learning opportunities. Instructionally, you will be responsible for teaching; mentoring; & providing academic, social, emotional, & behavioral supports to all students assigned to your caseload. Administratively, you will be responsible for helping bridge the gap between students, families/guardians, & District; planning, scheduling, coordinating, & attending Multidisciplinary Team meetings; processing internal & external compliance requirements; managing IEPs & records, MAP A testing, progress monitoring; & maintaining confidentiality. Professionally, you will support District Staff, Teachers, & Administrators by implementing services, participating in special projects, facilitating new & innovative initiatives, & other duties as assigned. You will contribute to organizational effectiveness, continuous quality improvement, & ensure the District’s policies & procedures are reflective of standardized special education policies & procedures & educational best practices to meet all students’ needs. Collegially, you will be intentionally engaged while promoting academic excellence, instilling fearlessness, promoting collaboration, & lifelong learning. As a Visionary, you will support & practice all Ridgeway’s vibrantly unique cultural norms, values, & philosophies, while regularly seeking to improve communication, practices, & standards. You will be intricately connected & positively impact the lives of all our students to help ensure Ridgeway’s future is exponentially brighter than our past! Educationally, candidates should have a degree in Special Education or closely related field.
