| Description: | The North Andrew School district is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 26-27 School Year. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), state and federal regulations, and district policies. The teacher collaborates with general education staff, families, and service providers to ensure student growth and access to the general curriculum.evelop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district procedures Provide specialized instruction to students individually and in small groups across academic and functional areas Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and appropriate accommodations Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate student data and progress monitoring documentation Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and parent conferences Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and positive behavior supports as needed Coordinate services with related service providers (speech, OT, PT, counseling, etc.) Maintain required special education documentation and timelines Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements (FERPA, IDEA) Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development Supervise paraprofessionals as assigned Participate in professional development and ongoing training Perform other duties as assigned by administration | |
