| Description: | The Hamilton R-2 School District is currently accepting applications for a Middle School Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Come join a close knit student-centered family of teachers. We are located 40 miles east of St. Joseph at the intersection of Hwy 36 and Hwy 13. Hamilton R-II School District serves just over 600 students in grades PK-12th grade. We have a teacher to student ratio of 1:13. Our students maintain good attendance, typically around 95%, and we are strongly supported by the community and our families. The SPED teacher will be providing services for 6th-8th grade students who are on individualized education plans. The caseload size is approximately 10 students. Knowledge of the special education referral process and experience doing academic testing is a plus. The qualified candidate will have a valid Missouri teaching certificate with the appropriate certification. Coaching opportunities are available. This position will be open until filled.
