| Description: | The School District of Cape Girardeau is seeking a Math Teacher for Terry W. Kitchen Junior High School for the 2023-24 academic year. The Math teacher is responsible for facilitating the learning of the pre-algebra and algebra I for every student by creating a stimulating learning environment in which every child is expected to reach their own academic potential. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate: Math 7-9 or Math 7-12 Strong mathematical content knowledge Pedagogical knowledge that accentuates conceptual knowledge, and critical and reflective thinking Excellent oral and written communication skills Skilled in human relations, leadership, and conflict management Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students A high ability to work collaboratively with teams and nurture relationships An aptitude for mentoring and fostering teacher-student relationships Demonstrated skills in computer word processing, spreadsheets, and databases Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with at least 18 credit hours in math Working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities General Information For more information and to apply for these positions, visit www.capetigers.com (Careers).
