| Description: | The Fordland R-3 School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of 6-12 Counselor for the 2023-24 school year. The Fordland School District is comprised of 300 6-12 students and is located 15 minutes east of Springfield, Missouri. Fordland will be on a 156-student day contract for the 2023-24 school year. The calendar is family-friendly, with larger breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break. The district will have 30 four-day weeks and seven five-day weeks in the calendar for the 2023-24 school year. The Counselor's primary function is to provide a comprehensive guidance program for students in grades 6-12. Services include school counseling core curriculum (in both individual & group settings), individual student planning, and responsive services. Valid Missouri Certification required * Ability to gain and maintain "Highly Qualified" status as defined by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, required * Job-related experience, preferred. This will be a 180-day contract for the 6-12 Counselor position. | |
