| Description: | The Knox County R-1 High School has an opening for a High School Weight Training Instructor. This job will be paired with coaching. Opportunities for coaching include Varsity Girls Head Basketball, Junior High Softball, Junior High Girls Basketball, Varsity Track, Strength and Fitness Coach (additional stipend). The High School Weight Training Class Instructor is responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of weight training and helping them develop a safe and effective workout routine. The instructor must be knowledgeable and experienced in strength training and be able to motivate and encourage students to reach their fitness goals. Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide instruction on proper lifting techniques and form. • Design and implement weight training programs tailored to the individual needs of each student and sports programs. • Monitor and track student growth and adjust weight training programs as needed. • Provide feedback and encouragement to students • Ensure safety of all students by monitoring the weight room and enforcing safety rules • Maintain order and cleanliness of the weight room • Keep accurate records of student progress. • Provide feedback and advice to students on nutrition and diet. • Develop and implement educational materials related to weight training. • Knowledge of weight training techniques and principles. • Ability to motivate and encourage students. | |
